Dr. Brooks Keeshin
Brooks Keeshin, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah, and he works clinically at Primary Children’s Hospital Center for Safe and Healthy Families. Dr. Keeshin is a child abuse pediatrician and child psychiatrist, and he delivers trauma-focused psychiatric care as part of a multidisciplinary trauma treatment team. Dr. Keeshin is the Principal Investigator of Pediatric Integrated Post-trauma Services (PIPS), a Category II Center of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network. PIPS develops and implements processes for the identification and response to children at risk for traumatic stress in frontline pediatric settings. Dr. Keeshin is the director of the Utah Psychotropic Oversight Program, a statewide program that ensures that Utah children in foster care receive safe, evidence-based, and trauma-informed treatment.
